Plans are based on team size, and every plan includes the same features. Small covers up to 15 team members, Medium up to 30, and Large up to 50. If you have more than 50 team members, use the Contact Us option for a custom setup.

A team member is an active person on your EssentialsIQ subscription. Your plan determines how many active team members you can have at one time. If you grow past your plan limit, you can add up to 4 team members for $10 per person per month, so a new hire or two won’t push you into the next plan. At 5 or more beyond your limit, you move to the next plan. If your team gets smaller, any added seats drop off automatically, with visibility in the app before anything changes.

No. You can cancel your EssentialsIQ subscription at any time. In the app, open Your subscription and select Manage billing.

Founder's Pricing is $50/month off the standard EssentialsIQ rate for your plan, for as long as your EssentialsIQ subscription remains active. It's available for a limited time during our launch period.

Your Founder's Pricing stays in place for as long as your EssentialsIQ subscription remains active.

Your monthly rate is based on your plan. If a change in team size moves you to a different plan, you pay that plan's Founder's rate, which is still $50/month below standard pricing.

Founder's Pricing is forfeited upon cancellation or non-payment exceeding 30 days. If reactivated, standard pricing in effect at that time will apply. See our full Cancellation & Refunds Policy for details.

Less than you might expect. The veterinary-led education and core resources are already built. In the Setup Hub, you choose the features that fit your facility, add your team, and customize from there. You can start with the education and turn on more tools whenever you’re ready.

Yes. You can watch our demo video for an overview of EssentialsIQ, and a more detailed walkthrough is available by email. We do not currently offer a free trial.

Your facility’s operational software remains the source of truth for medication schedules and records.

Each team member gets their own sign-in to the EssentialsIQ app, with access on desktop and mobile. Their experience is based on their assigned role and learning path.

Plan on about 9.5 hours for the Employee path, 12.5 hours for the Manager path, and 5 hours for the Owner path, including quizzes. Courses are short and self-paced, so teams can spread them across shifts or complete them in a few sessions — whatever fits your organization. Reinforced learning then keeps key concepts active over time.

Yes. EssentialsIQ includes responsibility-based learning paths for employees, managers, and owners, so each person receives education relevant to their role. We recommend leadership complete their learning first so they understand what their team will be learning and reinforcing.

EssentialsIQ was developed by a multidisciplinary team. Stacey Lambert, KPA-CTP and Fear Free Certified, brings 10,000+ hours of hands-on playgroup experience as Education & Content Developer. The veterinary contributors are Dr. Christopher Pachel, DVM, DACVB, CABC, board-certified veterinary behaviorist; Dr. Jill Franks, DVM, Medical Curriculum Lead; and Dr. Dean Beyerinck, veterinary health guidance and infectious disease consulting. Together they shaped a framework grounded in veterinary medicine, behavior science, and real facility operations.
